     While out in the Joshua Tree area recently enjoying the great scenery of this vast desert place, we chanced upon some great hats. Not just any hats but those by Helm Hatters which are made by a dusty character named Bode Helm. 
        Bode Helm is also known as a photographer but around the year 2021 developed an obsession with quality hats and started making them out in the Joshua Tree area where he draws creative inspirations from the arid emptiness of this beautiful landscape .
     Joshua Tree is a High Desert region of California (around 130 miles East of Los Angeles) not far from the Palm Springs area where he also sells his hats weekly at the Palm Springs Village Fest.
     Joshua Tree National park, the town of Joshua Tree and its surrounding communities, including Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms, are located within part of the Mojave Desert. This High Desert region is characterized by its arid climate, unique landscape, and distinctive Joshua trees.
The Joshua tree, a hardy desert plant, embodies the idea of survival and finding beauty in harsh conditions.
    The Joshua tree, as a symbol of the American West, has been a focal point for the artistic expression of many a creative soul including writers, artists, musicians & anyone else with a higher consciousness. 
    The Joshua Tree is the fifth studio album by the Irish rock band U2 released in March of 1987 which was inspired by the American landscapes most notably the desert. This area & it's unique landscape resonated with U2's exploration of themes like longing, loss, and hope in their music. It represents themes of faith and resilience in the face of adversity, mirroring the band's own experiences and their perception of America.
The song, Where the Streets Have No Name is thought of as a metaphor for heaven.
Deep stuff indeed.

Each one is "blocked" and shaped with a caring eye and detail.
    The materials of the hats are felt from beaver, rabbit and sometimes cashmere, using vintage tools and secret proprietary methods using such things as beetle juice and tequila.
Each hat is unique and one of a kind enhanced.
